Nearly four decades, LoJack has been proud to partner with law enforcement agencies to support stolen vehicle recovery efforts and enhance officer safety. As part of our continued commitment to innovation and operational effectiveness, we are transitioning from our legacy radio frequency (RF) system to our next-generation GPS platform, LoJack LE.

Effective March 26, 2026, the legacy RF system was discontinued.  There will be no new RF activations after this date, but you may see one or two that activated prior to the sunset.  While this marks the end of a long-standing technology, it is important to emphasize that LoJack is not going away—we are evolving.  There is no cost to law enforcement agencies to access and utilize the LoJack LE platform, making it an immediate and valuable resource for your personnel.

This transition is an opportunity to ensure your agency continues to benefit from LoJack’s proven partnership—now with more advanced, efficient, and accessible technology.

We sincerely appreciate your partnership and the critical work you do every day. We look forward to continuing to support your agency with modern tools designed to meet the evolving challenges of auto theft investigations.

As a result of the legacy sunset,  the recommended course of action for officers operating LoJack-equipped vehicles is to disconnect the LoJack display head from the dashboard. Fleet may dispose of LoJack equipment via e-waste.

Onboarding officers/ dispatchers for LoJack LE is a simple process and can be accomplished by returning an excel template (or provide your own roster).  Once individual accounts are created, each user will receive an activation code and training guide.
