Today, we released the December issue of the LoJack Monthly Recovery Report.

One recovery story from the report–the theft of a vehicle in New Jersey–highlights the importance of using common sense measures to help protect your vehicle from theft. According to the most recent data from the National Insurance Crime Bureau (NICB), one out of every eight stolen vehicles had the keys left inside. Although it may seem simple, it’s important to never leave your keys in your car or leave your car running unattended. Staying mindful of where you place your keys can help thwart the attempts of opportunistic car thieves.

A crucial part of protecting yourself and your vehicle is staying educated about auto theft. LoJack is happy to work with law enforcement agencies around the country to promote awareness of auto theft and help reduce its impact on the community.
