Phoenix Arizona Police Utilize Powerful LoJack Corporation Tracking Technology to Recover GMC Yukon Stolen in Burglary
- February 15, 2013
Never underestimate the power of a LoJack Stolen Vehicle Recovery System. On December 29, 2012, the owner of a 2003 GMC Yukon came home and was shocked to discover that his home had been burglarized and his vehicle stolen. He immediately contacted the Phoenix Police Department to report the crime.
Phoenix Police confirmed the theft and entered the vehicle’s information into the state and federal crime computers. This routine police action automatically activated the LoJack transponder concealed in the vehicle.
A short time later, Phoenix Police officers from the Cactus Park Precinct began picking up the silent LoJack homing signal from the stolen Yukon with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers installed in their police vehicles. Officers tracked the Yukon to a local gas station and noticed one suspect was currently in the vehicle. Officers moved in and safely arrested the suspect. Also recovered were various items taken in the burglary.
The owner was elated he had protected his Yukon with a LoJack System! The LoJack Stolen Recovery System was installed in the GMC Yukon in December of 2003 by Land Rover North Scottsdale.
