Four Times Stolen, Four Times Recovered with LoJack
- October 18, 2011
In this amazing story, the owner of a 1994 Honda Accord reported his vehicle stolen to the Fresno office of the California Highway Patrol.
About 1 hour and fifteen minutes later, officers from the Fresno County Auto Theft Task Force began receiving the silent signal from the stolen vehicle on their onboard LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC). Following the tracking cues, the officers then tracked the vehicle to the vicinity of Lafayette and Flint Avenues in central Fresno. The vehicle was located abandoned, parked on the side of the road in a residential area. It was recovered intact and undamaged and was stored pending release to the owner.
This is the fourth time that this vehicle was stolen and recovered. This is the second time that the vehicle has been stolen in the past six days. In each instance, law enforcement officers located the vehicle using the LoJack Stolen Vehicle Tracking System.
