Cedar Hill, TX – A stolen 2021 Dodge Challenger valued at approximately $53,000 was successfully recovered following a coordinated law enforcement response involving the Cedar Hill Police Department, the Fort Worth Police Department, and LoJack Law Enforcement support. The vehicle was safely recovered shortly after being reported stolen, thanks to real-time tracking technology and interagency collaboration.
The Dodge Challenger was reported stolen to both the Cedar Hill Police Department and the LoJack Call Center. Officers quickly entered the vehicle into the National Crime Information Center (NCIC), providing nationwide visibility to law enforcement agencies. At the same time, the LoJack Call Center activated the vehicle within the LoJack Law Enforcement App, enabling real-time tracking capabilities.
Shortly after activation, the LoJack Call Center identified the vehicle’s location at a residence in the Fort Worth area and provided the information to Cedar Hill Police Department investigators. The LoJack Law Enforcement Liaison Team also notified surrounding law enforcement agencies that the stolen vehicle was active and trackable through the LoJack LE App.
Tracking data enabled officers with the Fort Worth Police Department to monitor the Challenger’s location and coordinate a recovery response. Using the real-time intelligence available through the LoJack LE App, officers responded to the residence where the vehicle was believed to be located.
Upon arrival, officers made contact at the residence and safely recovered the stolen Dodge Challenger from the backyard without incident. The vehicle was secured and prepared for return to its owner.
