Albany, CA – A stolen 2015 Lexus IS was successfully recovered following a coordinated investigation involving the Albany Police Department, the Alameda County Auto Theft Task Force, and LoJack Law Enforcement Liaison support. The vehicle was safely recovered and returned to its owner after detectives utilized real-time tracking technology to monitor its movements throughout Oakland.
The Lexus was stolen from its owner’s driveway in Albany, California. The theft created a significant hardship for the owner, who relied on the vehicle for daily transportation to work and carried only liability insurance, making recovery especially important.
After discovering the theft, the owner promptly reported the vehicle to the Albany Police Department, which entered the vehicle into the National Crime Information Center (NCIC). The owner also contacted the LoJack 24-Hour Stolen Vehicle Hotline to report the incident.

Using the real-time tracking information, detectives located the Lexus parked and unoccupied on a residential street in Oakland. The vehicle was recovered without incident, impounded for safekeeping, and ultimately returned to its appreciative owner.
