At the mechanic, don’t go for cheaper just to cut costs — all fluids should be appropriate for the make and model of the car.   5. Be a conscientious driver! The way you drive will impact the lifetime of your car. Speeding not only increases your risk of an accident, but it also reduces the gas mileage your car gets. Driving on empty and revving your engine will put excess stress on your engine and should be avoided.
