LoJack® System Helps Colorado Springs Police Recover Stolen Chevrolet Impala

  • September 10, 2014

On July 27th the owners of a Chevrolet Impala contacted the Pueblo P.D. and reported that their vehicle had been stolen.
The police verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Impala.

A short while later an officer with the Colorado Springs PD picked up the silent LoJack® homing signals from the stolen Chevrolet with the LoJack® Police Tracking Computer (PTC) that was installed in his patrol car. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officer tracked the vehicle to the area of Del Sol and Montebello in Colorado Springs. The vehicle was unoccupied. It was towed for the safe return to the owner. Another happy ending thanks to the LoJack system.
