California Police Help Recover 1963 Cadillac Convertible in 22 Minutes with Help from the LoJack® System

  • December 12, 2013

Classic car owners are fiercely protective of their ‘babies’. They want to protect their assets in every way possible. The LoJack® For Classics System is specially designed to protect classic and collectible vehicles without draining power or changing the appearance or value of the machine. In this case, a 1963 Cadillac Convertible stolen in Los Angeles, CA, is recovered in less than a half hour thanks to local police assisted by LoJack for Classics.

On November 29th, 2013, the Caddy’s owner contacted police to report that his vehicle was taken from the parking area where it was stored. Deputies verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. The LoJack transponder concealed in the convertible, which was installed at Martin Cadillac in Torrance, CA, was then automatically activated.

Within minutes, police officers picked up the homing signals from the stolen car with the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The Caddy was tracked to a residential area near Bandini Blvd and Sepulveda, where it was found parked and unoccupied.  The Convertible, valued at $35,000, was soon returned to its very relieved owner.
