83-Year-Old Man Is Rescued 10 Minutes After Reported Missing
In New Jersey, an 83-year-old man with dementia was reported missing by his wife. Deputies with the Atlantic County Sheriff’s Department logged on to the secure LoJack SafetyNet™ database to obtain specific information on the man to aid in his rescue. Using LoJack SafetyNet’s Search and Rescue Receivers and applying their search and rescue training, police picked up the signal from the man’s Personal Locator Unit wristband, and within 10 minutes tracked him to a location several blocks from his residence. Police returned him to his home uninjured.

10-Year-Old Boy Slips Away from Caretaker; Found in 20 Minutes
In Massachusetts, a caretaker was walking with a 10-year-old boy at a local park. While they were walking, the boy freed himself from the caretaker and went missing. Specially-trained members of the Sherborn Police and Fire Departments responded to the call, established a perimeter upon arriving at the location last scene and used their LoJack SafetyNet Search and Rescue receivers. In just 20 minutes, the boy was found in good condition in a backyard off of a main road.
