LoJack® System Helps Dekalb County Police Department Recover Stolen Classic 1985 Chevrolet Camaro

  • July 24, 2014

The owners of a Classic 1985 Chevy Camaro contacted the DeKalb County Police to report that his vehicle was stolen from his home during the night out of his carport.

The DeKalb County Police verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Camaro.

A short while later officers from the DeKalb County Police picked up the silent LoJack® homing signals from the stolen Camaro with the LoJack® Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the vehicle to home in a rural area of DeKalb County.
