LoJack Corporation Adopts December 31 Fiscal Year

Westwood, MA, November 01, 2001 - LoJack Corporation, (NASDAQ NMS: "LOJN") announced today that the Board of Directors approved a change in the Company's fiscal year end to December 31 from the last day of February, effective December 31, 2001. As a result, the Company will report a one-month fourth quarter for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2001 and subsequent quarters will end on March 31, June 30, September 30 and December 31.

In connection with the change, the Company will file a report on Form 10-K covering the ten months ended December 31, 2001 within 90 days thereafter. The change to a calendar year will align the Company's fiscal year with that of its principal customers, suppliers and industry counterparts.
