When someone you love is afflicted with Alzheimer's, autism, Down syndrome, dementia or other cognitive disorders, the chance of him or her wandering or becoming lost is high, and may lead to severe consequences. The longer your loved one is missing, the greater the risk. That's why LoJack now offers LoJack SafetyNet to provide the most effective solution for rescuing those who wander.
The LoJack SafetyNet system is composed of time-tested and proven electronic search and rescue equipment, direct integration with law enforcement nationwide, in-depth training and certification for search and rescue personnel, a secure database of key client information to assist in search and rescue operations, and 24/7 emergency caregiver support.
There is a $99 initial enrollment fee and a recurring $30 monthly service charge for clients who participate in the LoJack SafetyNet service. While the service is not yet covered by Medicare, it is covered by Medicaid in select states by the appropriate waiver. Financial assistance from local agencies may also be available for caregivers and families that cannot afford the service.
